Litchfield Arsenal 11U

I hope everyone has been having a great holiday season! January is just around the corner and that means we will resume practice again on a frequent basis. Based on my experience, the next few months will go by quickly and we will be on the field before you know it... but, we have alot to do. We will be busy over the next couple months meeting with the NEAAU to define the schedule for our season, planning our tournaments, etc. In addition, we have been planning some good workouts: Dean Borelli (owner PlayBall) will be holding hitting clinics for our team twice a month at his facility during our practice time, Art Craffey and myself will be holding weekly pitching/catching sessions at Talent Hall on Saturdays, and I will be looking to get us into a larger gym for some situational work sometime in March. Please be sure to visit our website and our online calendar to view all of our upcoming practice times. I would like to thank all of the coaches, parents and players for their commitments so far. Please be sure to get me your Winter schedules ASAP (Basketball schedules should be out soon). I am looking to start booking our workout sessions for Jan, Feb, Mar as soon as I have them. Even if you had previously sent me a schedule and it hasn't changed, please send it again.

Next Wednesday, Cheryl Bucci will be bringing by a sample of the pullover jackets that we are having made up. Parents, players, coaches, anyone can buy one. She will be taking orders so that they are available for the holidays. Each one will be $59. Also, anyone who wishes to have an Arsenal hat can order one. We will have them made up at the same time as the jackets. Hats are $20. All items are being sold at cost. If you have any questions, please let Cheryl or myself know. Congratulations to the entire team on an awesome effort selling coffee cakes and cookie mixes. Your effort resulted in the team raising over $800 for our operations this season!! Overall, we sold 198 items! Additional congratulations to Jason R. and Nick F. for each selling 30 items. Special thank you to Darlene LaCroix for running this fundraiser. It is well appreciated!
