Evanston picks Locke June 1, 2005 BY MICHAEL O'BRIEN Evanston has settled on Bobby Locke as its new boys basketball coach after a two-month search to replace Paul Pryma, according to a source. The Wildkits are expected to announce the hiring of Locke, who was previously the girls basketball coach at Latin, as soon as Monday. Locke was an assistant girls coach at Evanston before he took the Latin job. Pryma resigned after the season to take an administrative position at Glenbrook North. Other candidates for the Evanston job included former Thornton coach Rocky Hill and Jim Hinrich, the father of Chicago Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich.

Demons 14U Team Wins RBS Jam

The Chicago Demoms 14U team won the championship at this year's RBS Jam. Congrats guys. The 14 U team was led by Darius Thomas, Darius Smith, Dion Sommers, Sam Thornton, Jaaron Holmes, and Brandon Smith. Coach Geneo Carter did a great job. In other team news, The 17U and 15U both made it to the championship but both lost to the Illinois Hawks.

17U Demons Win Windy City Classic

The 17U Demons won the Windy City Classic going undefeated. They beat Full Package, Ferrari, and the Rising Stars in the Championship game. Michael Horton, Jr. was named tournament MVP. Jeremie Simmons, Kendall Russell, and Trevor Dale were named to the All-Tournament Team. Billy Rush was a tremendous factor hitting the final shot with less than five seconds trailing by one in the semi-final Ferrari game. Congrats guys! Great coaching job by Skeet!
