April 20th---Falcons Beat Redmond 2-1

The Falcons defeated Redmond 2-1 with another impressive pitching performance by Maria and timely hitting from Katie and Lindsay.

Maggie walked to lead off the first inning.  Katie singled her in with two outs for our first run. 

When Maggie singled in the third, Zoe laid down a perfect sacrifice bunt to get her over to second.  After Cat's walk Lindsay singled in Mags with what turned out to the be game winner.

Maria pitched a complete game and scattered six hits.

The Falcons scored 11 runs on 9 hits, including five extra-base knocks, to beat Lake Washington 11-6.

After Maggie led off the game by reaching on an error and Zoe beat out an infield single, Cat hit a three-run line shot homer to right to key the Falcons' four-run first.

Cat doubled in the second and came in on Lindsay's RBI ground out.

Jennell had a two run double in the third and another RBI double in the 7th.

The Falcons beat Fife 8-2 to pick up their second win of the season.

Kaaren and Maria combined for another pitching gem, scattering six hits between them and striking out 13.

The Falcons split the game wide open with five second-inning runs, keyed by Kyleigh's big two-rbi single.

Kaaren stayed hot at the plate, going 3 for 3 with two RBI.  Katie went 2 for 4 with two RBI as well, and Maggie went 2 for 3.

When the Falcons lose a game, woe unto their next foe.

For the third time this season the Falcons followed a loss with a big win, this time defeating Newport 9-0 on Dad's Appreciation Night.

Maria had three hits and three RBI, Maggie had three hits and two runs, and Kaaren had two hits and two runs for the Falcons.

Maria gave up only three hits in and struck out 8.

April 29---Falcons Win Over Garfield

The Falcons beat an overmatched but courageous Garfield team 20-3.

Linday and Kaaren homered and Dani crushed three hits.
