Armstrong Falcons Girls Basketball

Congratulations to Amanda as she signed her letter of intent to play basketball next year for Univerity of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  Amanda signed her intent in front of family, friends and coaches yesterday.  The program is very proud and wishes her the best of luck in her future at UW- Milwaukee.

Day 1 of tryouts was good.  The coaches were excited to see all the players back together again. 

 This Saturday Nov. 17th the Varsity and JV will travel to Hopkins High School for the 11 team scrimmage that Hopkins hosts every year.   Armstrong will play in various scrimmages from 9am to noon.

 The 11 teams that are participating are Armstrong, Osseo, Eastview, Minneapolis South, Rockford, DeLaSalle, Kennedy, Lakeville North, Hutchinson, Holy Family  and the host team Hopkins.

 Armstrong court schedule is the following;

9:00am- 9:25am        Court 1        Kennedy

9:30am- 9:55am        Court 3       Eastview

10:00am- 10:25am     Court 3       Holy Family

10:30am- 10:55am     Court 1        Lakeville North

11:00am- 11:25am      Bye

11:30am- 11:55am      Court 3       DeLaSalle

The bus schedule for the 2007/ 08 season is posted in the handouts section.

When the Falcons take on Hill Murray on November 29th it will be Minnesota Lynx Night. 

The Minnesota Lynx are touring the Twin Cities and attending local High School games.  Members of the Lynx staff along with 2007 #1 Draft Pick and Point Guard Lindsey Harding will be in attendence from 6pm through halftime of the Varsity game.

 Come on out enjoy a great game and visit with one of the  best players in the land.
