TMHA Tier 1 Hockey development initiative (Skills Sessions)

TMHA is pleased to announce a new hockey development initiative (Skills Sessions). These Skills Sessions are designed to accelerate and further the development of our young athletes. The Skills Sessions are being hosted by TMHA in partnership with “Discover Fitness with Kate Durst Inc. and Discover Performance with Lisa Tremblay” The Skills Sessions are being staffed by qualified power skating, hockey skills and goaltending instructors from “Discover Fitness with Kate Durst Inc. and Discover Performance with Lisa Tremblay”.

There will be a maximum of sixteen (16) skaters and four (4) goalies allowed on the ice during each Skills Session. Skills Sessions for the month of October have been scheduled from 4-5pm at the Mountjoy Arena on the dates shown below.

Monday October 7th, 2019 – Tier 1 Novice

Monday October 14th, 2019 – Tier 1 Bantam Minor

Monday October 21st, 2019 – Tier 1 Atom

Monday October 28th, 2019 – Tier 1 Peewee

More sessions will be added as the season moves forward.

Registration for the skills session being offered by TMHA will be open for registration at 9am on Monday, September 30th, 2019 on our website in the menu above. Registrations will remain open until 5pm on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019. TMHA asks that all players/parents that are interested in attending the skills sessions please register during the time period mentioned above. The fee for the Skills Sessions will be $10 per player (TMHA is subsidizing 30 to 50% of the costs). The fee is payable at the rink to “Discover Fitness with Kate Durst Inc. and Discover Performance with Lisa Tremblay”.

Your respective coaching staff will be responsible for managing a schedule for your team to ensure that every player that has registered is given the opportunity to attend as many sessions as possible throughout the season.
