News and Announcements
Hello PALL Families,
As some of you may have heard, Little League made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 World Series and all regional tournaments. While this is very sad news for the players hoping to make it to Williamsport, PA this has not closed the door on our Poway American Spring 2020 season. This piece is taken directly from the Little League website, dated today, April 30th:
As certain states and municipalities begin their phased approaches to reopening, it is highly encouraged that each league and district adheres to the guidelines set forth by their respective state and local government and health officials in terms of public gatherings, organized youth sports, and sporting events when determining when it is safe to return to Little League activities after May 11. Leagues should contact their state and local health authority and other municipalities for guidance prior to resuming any Little League activities.
+What does this mean for PALL?
Our president, Eddie Atchley, is in regular with the PUSD administration. As I am sure you have seen, there is a step by step approach on how our communities will be able re-enter social settings. Little League is leaving season decisions to the individual districts and they will be considered in accordance with state and local governments. Right now we are working with PUSD since we will need permission from them to move forward, if and only if, it is safe for our players, coaches, volunteers and fans.
We will provide updates in a timely fashion as they become available. We are so appreciate of your support as we continue to navigate these uncharted waters, We miss all of your smiling faces and look forward to getting back on the field. We hope you and your loved ones are safe, healthy, and are able to remain positive with all that is going on.

*UPDATE 4/17/2020: In keeping with our Federal and State guidelines of social distancing and staying at home to “stop the spread”, distribution of our team photos will be made once it is deemed safe to do so. We hope you all understand that it is for the safety of us all and our families to continue doing what has made a difference in “flattening the curve” by staying home and limiting contact. This is a very uncertain time and we, as your Poway American Little League Board of Directors, will continue to insure our families health so we can get back to playing baseball!! ⚾️
We will continue to update PALL families the minute more information is received.
Thank you for your understanding and we hope you all are safe, healthy and happy!
Our sponsors need community support now more than ever! We are asking PALL families to use this time to give back to the economy in our community to keep us POWAY STRONG! Check out our league sponsors tab and our social media pages for sponsor information and pay it back!

Good evening P.A.L.L. Families:
With the most recent guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Poway American Little League has received directive from the Little League International Board of Directors and regretfully, we must once again, follow the recommendation to suspend all Little League activities through Monday, May 11, 2020 and may not resume earlier than.
We understand and sadly recognize that this is the heart of the traditional Little League season, and we share in the great disappointment that many are feeling surrounding this additional pause in the 2020 season. However, we are hopeful that by doing this, we will all assist in playing an important part in flattening the curve in the spread of the Coronavirus Pandemic.
We will continue to stay well informed with updates from appropriate medical advisers, government health officials and our leaders around the world, as we are 100% committed to doing the best we can for the safety and well-being of our players, families, volunteers, and fans.
Currently, Little League International is working through all possible scenarios for the 2020 Little League International Tournament and tournament eligibility for our leagues and players in our various divisions of play. It is our sincere hope that once we have come through this and the suspensions have been lifted, we will have been instructed on ways implemented by LLIBD to bring everyone back to our fields and continue our season, whether that’s later this spring or throughout the summer.
Poway American Little League will continue to provide additional information on any further delays that will be of further impact the baseball season. Please visit where a series of FAQ’s have been developed to assist all LL families looking for further information . We are committed to sharing information as it becomes available on issues that affect all P.A.L.L. players and their participation for the year.
Should you desire additional information outside the scope of what our parent LL site has to offer, there are countless resources available, and we urge you to research the information available through the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), your California’s public health department, and other San Diego County and/or local authorities and government agencies.
We encourage you to stay in touch with Little League and if you would like to share any additional feedback or questions from our local community by emailing email@example.com.
All of us here at Poway American Little League would like to thank you all for your loyalty, understanding, and community support. We will be thinking of our local as well as our global Little League community during this difficult and uncertain time.
We wish you all good health.
Poway American Little League Board of Directors
