SPIKES END OF YEAR BANQUET

Please mark your calendars for Saturday, August 20th.  This is when we will be holding our annual end of year Spikes banquet.  The 2005 celebration will be held at the Recreation Center inside of Christmas Lake Village.

All five Spikes age divisions will be attending.  We will have swimming and fun starting mid-day and lasting into the evening with a carry-in dinner.  There will be lots of good food, fellowship, swimming, awards, etc.  The Spikes organization will provide the meat, creek-fried potatoes, lemonade & tea.  Don't miss this one - it's a blast!!

9U Champs at the Owensboro Boyz of Summer Classic

Congratulations to the 9U Spikes Team on their championship win at the Boyz of Summer Classic held in Owensboro, KY on May 15.  Despite all of the rain, the tourney started Saturday evening with pool play and then went to single elimination beginning Sunday morning.  These boys played hard and ended up winning the championship with a 3-1 record in the tournament.  This win qualifies the 9U team to play in the BPA World Series to be held in Owensboro, KY the last week of July.  Way to go Spikes!! 

Please check the 9U and 11U websites for links to schedules, tournament rules and maps for the 500 Extravaganza to be held May 21 & 22 in Greenfield, IN.

GREAT JOB IN OWENSBORO!!!

Congratulations to all of the Spikes teams that played in Owensboro this weekend.  The Spikes Organization made another great showing with both the 11U and 8U teams taking first place in their age groups while the 12U team finished in second place.  Great job, boys!!

SPRING SHOOTOUT IS UNDER RAIN DELAY!!!!

April 29, 2005 - 05:00 PM --  PLEASE READ BACK UP PLAN BELOW WHICH IS NOW IN EFFECT. WHILE WE DO NOT EXPECT RAIN TOMMORROW OR SUNDAY THE FIELDS HAVE TAKEN A POUNDING AND WE HAVE TO PUSH BACK THE TOURNEY TO START TIME OF 12PM SAT.APRIL 30,2005.

Backup Plan: Postpone games, rework fields, and move to double elimination tourney for all age divisions. $50 will be refunded to a team in the event that they do not get 3 games in (we have done the math and this will only effect about 9 teams in the entire tourney ie..if you win at least 1 game you will play 3 games regardless) teams will have the choice to get $50 back off entry fee or choose to apply it to another tourney of ours in the future.
***remember that most tourneys and tourney directors would offer you no money back so long as you complete 2 games but we care about your team and we want you back!!!* We will match these back up plans to any tourney company in the midwest and we stand behind our company's dedication to hardwork to make every event successful!

SANDLOT SPRING SHOOTOUT - OWENSBORO, KY (April 29 - May 1)
This is a large tournament with over 40 teams participating – all 5 Spikes teams will be in Owensboro this weekend so there will be a lot of very good baseball to watch!
