LONDON SOCCER PLANS FOR 4V4 LEAGUE-WEEK OF 3/27

Hello 4v4 League Soccer Families,
It was good to finally get outside for some soccer fun on Sunday. The weather has been a challenge the past few weeks due to the cold, rainy windy weather. Hopefully time and weather will allow me to get it done this week.

We had quite a few out due to spring break and now we can move forward with soccer activities. As I mentioned to all that heard me on Sunday, I am going to push the first games the weekend after Easter.
That will give us another week to practice and set up teams on Sunday 4/2/23

Equipment needed for soccer activities is “Shin Guards – mandatory”. Kids, please bring a ball with you to practices please. Please bring enough water/fluids to all events so that they keep hydrated.

If you are a parent and would like to coach a team, please get with Jeff, Frank or Anthony. It is a lot of fun with small teams during games.

Soccer Schedules for the week of March 27th:
Thursday 3/30 Practice 6:30-7:45pm
Saturday 4/1 optional Practice 10-11:30am

Sunday 4/2/23:
Kinderkickers starts 1pm-1:45 pm
Grades 5th-8th group – 1-2:30 pm
3rd / 4th Grade Group – 2-3:30 pm
1st / 2nd Grade Group – 3-4:30 pm

We will get through this week and will work to finalize schedule for the rest of the season.

Kinderkickers Soccer

We kick off our Spring Kinderkickers Season on Sunday 4/2/23 @ 1pm at St Patrick School Soccer Fields.
I am hoping the weather provides some sunshine and the ground dries out.
If you are able to show up about 30 minutes early, we can work to get shirts handed out and players checked in.
Each player will need a #3 Soccer Ball and Shin Guards which are mandatory to wear during soccer activities. You can get the socks with built in shin guards at Walmart and most sporting places. Cleats are not mandatory and are entirely up to parents.
This program is a start to soccer to allow your child to learn some basic skills and have fun.
This is my 20th year for this program in London. I have had many kids start in this program and play all the way through high school.
My goal has always been to provide a fun and learning experience and for many, this may be their first time in a somewhat organized program. At this age all the kids want to do is run and kick the ball around. We will have instructions; play games and we will work into playing soccer matches as the weeks go on. I will give the kids homework that parents can work with their players to help with their excitement.
I will ask if parents are available to please help out if you can, it will most certainly help keep things going smother.

SPRING 4V4 COMPETITION SOCCER PROGRAM
Planned Start date is Sunday 3/26/23 for games.
Games will be played on Sundays and a few Saturdays.
Sunday planned start time is 2pm. Saturday planned start times are 9am.

This is a 4v4 game format that is fun and competitive. Players learn to keep spread out and work harder as a team to score and to defend.
Registrations forms will be available the weekend of 2/25/23

KINDERKICKERS SOCCER FOR 4-5 YR OLDS
Planned start date is Sunday 4/2/23.
Program is planned for 1pm on Sundays.
This is the Start to Soccer program for the young ones that would like to learn to play soccer and have a fun time while learning. This is my 20th year with this program and it has been exciting watching the kids go through the programs and play through high school. This is open to Pre-K & Kindergarten players. I will consider some 3 year olds if you talk with Coach Jeff.

This is my annual Soccer Camp with Coaches from UK. This is a good camp to get your soccer player the extra training from coaches from England that live and breath soccer. You have the option to possibly Host A Coach too. Talk with Coach Jeff on this.
