U-14 Development Skates and Tryouts
TMHA is thrilled to have hockey back and we welcome you to the “AA” tryouts for the 2021-2022 season. Please read all of the following information carefully. The dates, location and times for your appropriate age category can be found below. As you are aware TMHA has scheduled four optional “Development Skates” before the tryout period. Please note those dates below.
TMHA does not accept players at tryouts from outside the City of Timmins boundaries. (Our boundaries include Timmins, Schumacher, South Porcupine, Porcupine and Matheson). This was adopted on the premise of prioritizing the development of our local youths. We do however accept residential moves. You must complete the NOHA residential move form found here.
Any players attending tryouts from PMHA or Matheson will require a signed permission to skate form found here which will be granted under the current TMHA/PMHA Tier 1 agreement. Please complete the form and submit to PMHA for signature. TMHA must be in receipt of the signed form prior to tryouts.
Any player who cannot attend tryouts must contact TMHA with their rationale for not attending and signal their continued intent to tryout. If you are exhibiting symptoms relating to COVID 19 and fail the screen, stay at home. Once your request is received, it will be reviewed with the coach, and a decision made at the discretion of the TMHA Executive.
TMHA Players who wish to attend “A” tryouts must tryout at the “AA” level first and follow the TMHA cascade process. Only then will a player be provided with a permission to skate form to attend the “A” tryouts per the TMHA/PMHA agreement.
Signing of players shall not occur until the conclusion of evaluation & selection sessions. By stepping on the ice, all players acknowledge their commitment to accept a position on the Tier One (1) team for which they are selected and sign their HCR commitment letter and as such a $500 nonrefundable bond will be paid to the team as a part of this commitment within 24 hours of signing the HCR commitment letter. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of your child’s position on the team. This money will be applied to overall team fee amount payable by each player at the start of the season to be put towards tournament entry fees and other upfront expenses.
