The 8th grade football team ended their season in dramatic fashion by scoring 19 unanswered points in the second half to defeat the Presbyterian Panthers 19-6 in the HJPC Division II 3rd place bowl game. The Vikings defense was dominant after giving up an early score and the offense was unstoppable behind quarterback Channing D, running back Joel C, and wide receiver Andrew D. Coach DeBakey and Coach Brown would like to thank the entire team for their amazing effort at practice and their willingness to be coachable all season. This group of 8th graders have laid a great foundation for next year’s team as the Viking middle school football program continues to grow and improve. We are already looking forward to next season.
