This past Tuesday, Village cross country competed in the new TAPPS District 3 6A(Large School) Championships. Boys Varsity, having finished 3rd in 4A last year finished 3rd in 6A this year, and beat rival Katy St John 23. St. Thomas won the race, followed by St Pius. The Viking harriers’ 5 scorers finished 4 seconds behind St Pius. I’m especially proud of the effort put forth in the heat by Marco and Federico.

Girls Varsity placed a respectable 4th, led by Charlotte who placed 2nd overall. St Agnes dominated the meet placing 6 runners in the top 7. Concordia Lutheran was 2nd.

JV boys, led by Lance V, finished 2nd behind St. Thomas..

Medalists in Boys Varsity were Alex in 3rd, Eduardo in 6th, and Kaushal in 15th. Charlotte took home 2nd and Doris 12th, in Girls Varsity. Lance Vu grabbed a 15th place medal in JV Boys. Congrats to all Vikings medalists!

Lastly, a shout out to all of the coaches and students who showed up to the meet to cheer the runners on. Many on the team mentioned how motivating it was to have the support. Thanks!
