The BV Renegades wrapped up a busy week in Clearwater, FL at the IBC World Series with the 16u Squad winning the IBC National Title and the 18U squad falling just short.

The 16u team would finish pool play 3-1 and earned the #2 national seed. Their only loss in pool play was a 6-3 setback to the St Louis Naturals. Following a bye in the opening round of bracket play , the Renegades would then defeat the Indiana Eagles 9-1 to move to the quarterfinals and again face the St Louis Naturals. Jackson Corn ( Brenham HS) turned in a stellar performance on the mound leading his team to a 3-1 victory. In the Semifinals the Renegades defeated the Schaumburg Seminoles of Chicago 5-1. The Renegades would face off once again against the St Louis Naturals in the finals. Conner Kestler ( Port LaVaca Calhoun) led off the game for the Renegades with a solo homerun. It would be all the offense needed as Kolby Wilson (Palacios HS ) dominated St Louis with his 92 mph fastball, turning in a complete game shutout as BVR would win the title with a 3-0 victory. The Renegades finished the tournament with a 7-1 record.

The BVR 18U squad was looking for its 3rd straight IBC title as they won the title in 2016 and 2017. However the 2018 tourney got off to a rocky start as BVR struggled on the opening day going 0-1-1. The Renegades would rebound to win their final 2 pool games 9-6 over the Indiana Eagles and a walkoff 7-6 win over Indiana Baseball Factory. In bracket play the Renegades won their 1st 2 games 8-2 over the Tampa Bullets and 10-4 over GRSD International. In quarterfinal play BVR 18 would fall to the BVR 17 squad 1-0. With their backs against the wall the Renegades would reel off 3 straight wins in elimination games , 11-6 over Tampa Bullets, 6-3 over BTL Hornets (Kansas) and 3-1 over BVR 17u in the semifinals to earn a spot in the championship game. In the finals the Renegades took a 1-0 lead into the 6th inning but couldnt hold on as the Washington Rush claimed a hard earned 5-1 win. The Renegades finished the tourney 7-3-1.

The BVR 17U squad finished pool play 3-1 and was the 5th seed. In the final pool game BVR 17 defeated the Washington Rush on a walkoff solo homerun by Hayden Johnson (Conroe HS) .  The Renegades defeated the Indiana Eagles in the opening round of bracket play and after a come from behind win over the BTL Hornets (Kansas) in the 2nd round the 17u squad would face off against the BVR 18 squad in the quarterfinals. Brady Johnson (Elkhart HS) delivered a dominating performance as he tossed a complete game shutout leading his team to a 1-0 victory. The 17 team would fall to the Washington Rush in the 1st seminfinal and then would be eliminated the next morning by the BVR 18 team 3-1 in another semifinal game.  The team finished the tournament with a 6-3 record and a 3rd place finish
