Learn to Row for Adults

Parents, the Duluth Rowing Club will be having 3 Learn to Row sessions this year.  The sessions meet Monday through Thursday at 6:00 p.m. for two weeks.  The first week is in our “Barge” which allows new rowers to learn the basic rowing stroke without the tipsiness of a “real boat”.  The second week is in quads and doubles learning the art of sculling.  By the end of the session members are proficient enough to take out our recreational singles and doubles. The cost is $85 per person.

Dates for the sessions are:

Session #1 – June 18- 28, Monday – Thursday 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Session #2 – July 9 – 19, Monday – Thursday 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Session #3 – July 23 – August 2, Monday – Thursday 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Each session is limited to 16 people.

Learn to Row forms can be found at: LearntoRow.DuluthRowing.org

Bring it to the Open House or mail it to the address on the form.

Lettering

Posted by David Kask at Feb 17, 2012 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )

Just a reminder to get your Letter Tally sheets and training logs to Bonnie by Tuesday, February 21 if you want to receive a Nordic Skiing Letter this year.  The only exception is Seniors that skied in the State Meet.

Remeber that the number of letters you earn during your High School sports career can be used to help justify awards during your Senior year.
