CRUNCHING CAVS

1.    We would like everyone to participate at regional.  This is what we have been working for all year.

2.    Regional is Sunday, February 28th at LP High School. Please be there no later than 7:00 AM.  Wrestling begins at 8:00 AM, and could start with any age or weight depending how many kids are in your bracket.

3.    Regional weigh-in will be Saturday, February 27th.  You must weigh in on Saturday. The coaches have a seed meeting after weigh ins and will show everyone their brackets at the tournament Sunday morning. Brackets will also available on trackwrestling.com.

4.    The cost for regional is  $15.00. We will need your money at weigh in, not before.  Please put your money in an envelope with your name on it and give it to one of the coaches at weigh in. Checks payable to LP Crunching Cavs.

5.    This will be the last tournament for 8 and under wrestlers. You will wrestle in a 4 man bracket. If you win your first match you will wrestle for First, if you lose your first match you will wrestle for Third. You will only wrestle twice. 8 year olds may wrestle 9&10 if approved by coaches which would give them a chance to go to sectional. Please turn your singlet in when you are done wrestling to any coach if you do not advance to sectional. 

6.    Wrestlers that are 9&10, 11&12, and 13&14 will be put in a weight class of our choice based on your weight on Saturday. When you get to Dixon on Sunday we will show you your bracket then. The top six in each weight class advance to sectional. The majority of our wrestlers will advance.

7.    Sectional is at Rock Island High School Saturday March 5th. If you advance to Sectional you will have to weigh in at  Ottawa Flex Gym Fri. night March 7th, 5pm - 7pm.Sectional will be the last tournament for 9&10 year old wrestlers. Cost is $15 payable to LP Crunching Cavs. 

8.  The 11&12 and 13&14 wrestlers that place in the top 3 at Sectional will advance to State the following weekend at the BMO Harris Bank Center. Weigh in for state is Thursday night in Rockford and we wrestle all day Friday and Saturday. The club will pay for your hotel in Rockford if you advance to State. There is no fee to westle at state.
