Trumbull Eagles Hockey

The Trumbull Eagles will be returning to New Hampshire for the Heuchling Swift Holiday Tournament held at the University of NH. Trumbull will be playing Keene HS (NH) and Portsmouth HS (NH) in the preliminary rounds. The Eagles last won the tournament back in 2017.

Our first POW of the 2021-2022 season goes to Senior, Luca Minopoli. The right wing had two goals and two assists in the first period of the home opener, a 5-4 win over Watertown. The co-captain had a great second effort assist on Trumbull’s only goal in their 3-1 loss to North Branford.

Minopoli plays a 200 foot game and is an exceptionally smart player. The Eagles will rely heavily on the senior.

The Trumbull Eagles came out of the gate fast, scoring 5 goals in the first period vs Watertown/Pomperaug in the season opener. WP chipped back for a 5-4 final. Senior, Luca Minopoli led the way with 2 goals and 2 assists. Junior, Austin Ashby netted the game winner.

Trumbull will take on North Branford this Saturday 2:30pm at the Northford Ice Pavilion.

Tryouts for the 2021-2022 varsity ice hockey team will be held on Monday 11/29 and Tuesday 11/30 at 4:00pm

2. Players have a current physical on file with the school nurse

The THS Alumni Game is back and signals the return to a normal 2021-2022 season. The game is a great opportunity to get back out on the ice and reconnect with old friends and teammates.
