By Sean Jacquet Holliston Tab Aren't rebuilding projects supposed to take a couple of years? Not for Todd Kiley and the Panther football team. After Friday night's 26-8 win over visiting Medfield, Kiley has the Panthers at 6-1 (5-0 Tri-Valley League), locked in a first-place tie with Westwood after vanquishing the previously unbeaten Warriors. Sparked by the usual suspects, the Panthers dominated, as junior fullback Zach Rodgers rumbled for 180 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries, earning him Friday Night Lights honors from the Daily News. The 5-foot-10, 205-pounder also caught a 14-yard scoring strike from senior quarterback Tyler Parrino (8 rushes, 51 yards; 3-4, 2 TDs). Last week's featured athlete Dave Menapace added a 19-yard touchdown run, while senior wideout Chris Valiant hauled in Parrino's other touchdown pass, a 36-yarder to round out the scoring. The defense, never overlooked by Kiley, also got into the act, sacking Medfield quarterback Kevin Lynch four times. "This is huge for the program," Kiley said. "When alumni come back, they want to see Holliston become a football-rich town again. We still have a long way to go to get where we want to be, but this is a good start."
