Randy Johnson tired of Yankees / D'Backs & becomes a Gator.

Late on Thursday it was reported by the Associated Press that "The Big Unit", Randy Johnson, is now a member of the Foothill Gators 16U Competitive Baseball Club in the Ahwatukee/Foothills area, south of Phoenix Arizona.
Johnson was quoted as saying, "I am tired of waiting on the Yankees and Diamondbacks to make up the minds and have always wanted to play under the tutelage of Coaches, Jeff "Digger" Barnes and Doug Harmon."
Sources near the Gators have leaked that the deal for Johnson includes expert advice from Coach Digger and a ride to all practices in the "Gator-mobile".

PLAYING BASEBALL FOR A CURE...
On January 7, 8 & 9th. 2005, The Foothill Gators will be participating in the 2nd Annual Babe Ruth / CCFA Charity Baseball Tournament... all proceeds will benefit the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America.
We will be playing in the 16U division.
There is also a Baseball Clinic for ages 9-18 on January 8th starting at 9am. The coast is $20 each (which includes a tee-shirt) with instruction from:
* Tony Womack (NY Yankees)
* Rod Allen (Tigers)
* Chris Cron (White Sox)
* Bob Green (A's)
* Don Wakamatsu (Rangers)
* Stan Luketich (Desert Vista varsity head coach)
