2012 AYF Football Weight Classification
2012 PRACTICE SCHEDULE:
First day of Practice is Monday July 30th
For the first 2 weeks practice we have a tentative schedule of:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 6pm-9pm (Note water breaks are exclude from total practice time)

First week is no pads and conditioning only
For the 3rd week we will only practice 3 days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) due to scrimmage on Saturday August 18th.
We will not be able to practice on August 23rd due to Elementary School Open house, schedule for this week will be publish soon.
Once School starts total practice time will be reduced to 8 hours per week and a 3 day schedule:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 6pm- 8:30pm. (Note water breaks are exclude from total practice time)
We ask all parents to have patience during the check in process at the beginning of practice. All parents are going to be required to sign the new AYF documents therefore check in could move a little slower please try to arrive early and do not drop off your children in the parking lot as you will be needed at the field.

Games and other Dates
Team Book Certification date is August 6th. (Emphasize importance of turning in your paperwork)
Weight Certification is August 11th, time and location is TBD.
Tentative we are working on a Scrimmage Game for August 18th
Tentative First game is August 25th, opponents and location are TBD.
Local Championships are TBD and in the planning stages
Regional Championships are November 17th/18th in Virginia Beach, Va. (Cadet and Up)
2012 Fundraising Information for Parents

WELCOME TO THE KERNERSVILLE RAIDERS 2012 FOOTBALL & CHEER SEASON!!!!
As we begin our Youth Sports for 2012, I wanted to impress upon you the importance that fundraising plays in the success of our organization. Without necessary funding, it is impossible to maintain our programs, which:
Affords children the opportunity to actively participate in character building activities,
Improves social interactivity via peer-to-peer relationships
Promotes healthier lifestyles through physical activities
With this in mind, the following fundraising activities are planned for July/August 2012:
KVR Used Shoe Drive:Beginning Thursday, July 12th we will begin collecting used shoes as a fundraising effort to send to 3rd World countries in need. This is a fundraiser that requires nothing out of pocket, yet the potential is HUGE if we all jump on-board. I challenge each household to bring at least 30 pair of used shoes to support this effort. I will have flyers on Thursday 7/12 to help spread the words to your friends, family, communities, churches, etc.
If you have bags of shoes that you need picked up vs. hauling to the field please call me at 336-423-9308 to arrange a pick-up place/time
KVR Car Wash: The tentative date for our car wash is July 21st from 8am – 12pm. A follow-up email will be sent with the exact location of this event.
· Great American Preferred Discount Cards: Beginning August 5th, we will begin pre-orders for our local discount cards. This will last for 3 weeks with each child being responsible for selling at least 5 cards. Each card is worth $10 and will save on purchases from many local vendors.
· Sponsorship: Please contact your place of employment, civic/fraternal organization, etc. and ask if they are willing to assist our organization through sponsorship. Please contact me at the number below for more information on this topic.
