Cardinals

The game was going to be played Saturday May 3rd, but thanks to all the rain we have had it was postponed until 4:00 pm on Sunday May 4th. Gabrielle Reedy drew her first start of the year pitching the first 3 innings of the game. Gabrielle struck gave up 4 runs, but struck out four and was giveen solid protection from her fielders. At the top of the 4th, when G-Baby stopped pitching the score was Cardinals 9 Concord 4. Nice job with great work behind the plate by Joni Curtis who made a key tag at the plate to end a 2nd inning rally by the Rockies. Marcella Gutierrez made several great throws in her first start at 3rd base along with 2 base hits. Erin Sorensen had a triple, drove in 2 runs and made a great catch of a hard hit ball in Center field in the 4th, stopping another rally. Rachel Revey also had a triple and drove in 4 runs for the game. Wanda Tung went 3 for 3 and played an all around solid game. Another great effort by the Cardinals.
