Empire Football League Announces 2003 SeasonRecently the EFL held its 35th Annual Meeting in Watertown, NY with 8 teams from the 2002 season returning plus the addition of one new team, Green Mountain Gladiators of Burlington, VT and one team returning from a leave of absence, Lake City Stars of Plattsburgh, NY. The Syracuse Vipers and New Jersey Ravens have taken a leave of absence for the 2003 season. This gives the EFL 10 active member teams for the 2003 season. The EFL will continue with their two division format for 2003 with the season starting on July 12th and ending on September 27th. The EFL Championship Game will be held on October 18th. Commissioner Butch Keller, Commissioner of Officials Bill Higgins, Deputy
Commissioner-Secretary Dave Burch, and Deputy Commissioner Treasurer Mary Boice were
re-elected to their positions. Additionally, Al Dole and Bill Callahan were re-elected to
serve as EFL Deputy Commissioners. |
