POLAR T-BALL 1

September 6, 2003 - Mt View Lions Den and Park Polar's Annual Meeting will be held at Noon. This is the forum for the volunteers, parents, and other interested parties to help chart the direction for Polar Little League in 2003-2004 year. Nomination and election of the next 2003-04 Board of Directors will be conducted. A look at what future projects are in the works for Polar Little League will be presented. Following the meeting, 2pm, all are invited to our Sponsor and Volunteer recognition potluck. The league will provide hot dogs and drinks. There have been many questions raised about how a Minor League Game ends. The interleague rules which were distributed with our rule books include the requirement that all Minor games have a 2-hour time limit. This is an absolute time limit. A game should continue until the entire two hours has elapsed even if the two hours occurs in the middle of an inning. There are a couple of exceptions which would shorten the game. 1. A full game consists of 6-innings in accordance with Rule 4.10 (a) has been played. 2. The home team is ahead by 10 runs at after 3-1/2 innings have elapsed, per Rule 4.10 (e). 3. The visiting team is ahead by 10 runs at the end of a full inning also per Rule 4.10 (e). If you have any questions regarding this, please contact Robert Posma or Robert Bell.

Welcome Angles. The Angels will join the Mariners, Yankees, Mets and Diamondbacks in the Polar Minor Baseball League. Games including the Angels will begin June 9th as they get organized and practice the week of June 2. A reminder to call-in or directly update the game scores on www.eteamz.com/PolarLL as we are nearing the completion of the first half of the Minor Season.

REMINDER: ALL ADULT LITTLE LEAGUE VOLUNTEERS (managers, coaches, umpires, concession supervisors, etc.) MUST SUBMIT A VOLUNTEER APPLICATION AND PHOTOCOPY OF A PICTURE ID (driver's license). Forms are available at the Concession. This is an national charter requirement, and the records are confidential. Thank you for helping us be in compliance with National Little League. MINOR and MAJOR BB MANAGERS: Please report your scores to Robert Posma 646-7609. That way we can keep the standings correct, and update this site (speak clearly, please) Thanks! We'll have our monthly Board Meeting this Sunday, May 18th at 3:15pm. The meeting willl be held at Merrill Lynch, in our main conference room.
