Manager Jim Mathews and coaches Kevin Barth, Al Suplinskas and Scott Carey welcome you to the Michael's Trattoria Official 2007 Team Site. Please browse around....here's some of the highlights of this site:

Schedules - see when you're team is playing.

Links - click on LINKS to access sites that offer skills and drills, tips, etc.

ETEAMZ Features - click on any of the ETEAMZ-provided links at the bottom of our home page to access other features.

Standings - select STANDINGS to see your team's record and current standings...but remember: LL Baseball is about much more than Wins and Losses, and our team philosophy, and maybe our won-loss record, will reflect this. The coaching staff of Michael's Trattoria has several key goals that it views as more important than winning games: - Every player should be a better ballplayer, both physically and mentally, than they were when they started the season - Every player will hopefully enjoy playing to the extent that they want to continue in the future...we never want to be the last coaching staff a kid plays for, i.e. part of the reason they no longer play. - Youth sports experiences are no different from many of the experiences these players will have in their off-the-field lives...this staff realizes that fact and will impart life's little lessons where possible. - While absolutely equal playing time is very difficult to achieve, every effort will be made to ensure that reasonable playing opportunities are presented to all players; While more seasoned/senior players may see more time, it has been our experience that this coaching staff, both now and in the past (going back many years), have been among the most liberal in terms of playing opportunities. - Come playoff time we'll play to win, but will still incorporate as much of our other objectives as we can. Please keep in mind that there will be opponents that do not share the same philosophy as us, which sometimes leads to frustration. We ask that players and parents alike keep in mind what we're trying to accomplish. Sometimes we coaches struggle with that very issue, but we'll do our best to stay the course and accomplish our greater goals.image
