North Girls start the year out right!!

North Girls started out the new year with two victories in a row.  In their first game North beat Liggett 3-0.  Rachel Lentz earned another shut out in the defensive battle.  Goals were scored by Nikki Cappizo Angela Giorgio, and Megan Bergeron.  Alexa Lucchese, Alexa Quinlan, Katie Latimer, Kailey Sickmiller, Lauren Walsh and Nikki Cappizo contributed to the team's success by assisting in the scoring

It was great to see Katie Latimer back on the ice after her injury sustained in our first game.

The next day the Norsemen beat Bloomfield 8-0.  Kailey Sickmiller debuted in net and received her first shut out!!  This allowed Rachel Lentz a chance to skate out.  The entire team contributed to this victory.  The highlight of the night was Jackie Reardon scoring her first career goal!! 

Way to go Jackie!!!

Other contributions to the win were Alexa Quinlan, Christie Listwan and Taylor Moody each with 2 goals, Nikki Cappizo also scored a goal.  Assits were contributed by Katie Latimer (2), Nikki Cappizo (2), Angela Giorgio (2), Rachel Lentz, Lauren Walsh, Reardon, Quinlan, Kara Yeager and Alexa Lucchese.

Keep up the great work girls you are on a roll !

Noresemen take on Walled Lake to a 5-3 Victory!

Norsemen met up with Walled Lake on December 12, 2006 at Hazel Park. Both teams were undefeated up to this point. Being a crossover game between divisions, Lady Norsemen were favorites for this contest. Norsemen answered the challenge by winning 5-3 to stay undefeated. Goal scorers were Phelicia V. (#22) with 2 goals, Kate Z. (#13) with 2 goals, and Lauren W.

Friday Night Lights! 6-0 Win!

December 15, 2006 GP Norsemen teams were in the spot light with two back to back wins against the Northville Mustangs. It started with Norsemen men's team defeating the Mustang’s in OT. Then the Lady’s Norsemen added to their undefeated streak with a win of their own with a 6-0 shutout against the Lady Mustang's. The atmosphere was full of energy after witnessing the exciting OT win by the men’s varsity team. The Lady Norsemen came out buzzing and it didn’t take much to get on the score board first with a goal by Angel G.(#2) to start things off. Her goal was assisted by Lauren W.(#10)and Meredith C.(#14). Needless to say that was it for the first period. Things opened up later in the second and Kate Z.(#13) picked up two goals, both were assisted by Marissa L.(#10), and Meredith C.(#14). Third period was much of the same were the Norsemen offense could not be stopped. Goals in the third were scored by Alexa Q.(#3), and Kate Z.(#13). Captain Z.(#13) had a nice night with 4 goals and 1 assist to lead the team to victory. Let's not forget to mention the outstanding job by goal tender Tori B.(#30) for her second shutout of the season.
