Former TRADITION Softball players are in the midst of their respective college seasons.
Elina Colon was named league player of the week for her work on the mound for the University of New Haven. Colon has posted a 0.63 ERA so far this Spring and a 7-3 record including two wins on the Southern trip to Florida. She has only allowed 28 hits and seven walks over 66.2 innings with 40 strikeouts.
Jessy Sachs is hitting .325 for Florida Atlantic University. Shifted to third base this Spring, Sachs has scored 26 runs from the leadoff spot with nine extra base hits, including five homeruns, good for 16 RBI's.
Nine other Tradition players are also competing in college seasons. Veteran Nicole deFau is a senior at the University of Notre Dame. The speedy outfielder was TRADITION's centerfielder in the National Championship years of 1998 and 1999.
