WELCOME TO BRIAN DERBY's O'LINE Web Site!

There are lots of Big Men in the Game of Football. At all levels from Youth to The NFL, it is becoming increasingly important to have great quickness and technique. It is NOT ENOUGH anymore to just be big. Everyone is BIG, Quick, Fast, and Strong. The Deciding factor is TECHNIQUE!. Coach Brian Derby realized this Years ago both as a Player and as a Coach. Brian's Philosophy and ability as a Coach are helping all who attended his camps and clinics in Hawaii, Utah, Oregon, Alaska, Virginia and Japan.

ATTENTION: Derby Camp-HAWAII 2016 is now CLOSED! Once again the camp is INVITE only. Email or call for info and details for future camps.

Derby Camp 2016-Hawaii collects food for the RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE!

  The RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE assist families that travel far from home to get treatment for their seriously ill or injured children. The treatment may last a day, a month, or even longer. It's a long time to be away from home, or to divide a family. Ronald McDonald Houses around the world offer families a way to stay together, in proximity to the treatment hospital, and be comfortable and cared for during their stay. Derby Camp-2012 Food Drive Photos are coming.
   Derby Camp 2016 participants all gave unselfishly to the Ronald Mcdonald House in these hard economic times. Participants brought Non-Perishable food to practice to be donated to the RMH. We collected tons of paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.) , canned goods and lots of Rice. I would like to thank everyone for the generosity in giving and helping an organization that does so much to help our families in need. More pics of the 2016 campaign are coming. Thank you all very much for paying it forward! God Bless you all.....Coach Derby

"Brian's camps are the best I've seen in my 15 years of coaching. The coaches do a very good job of coaching fundamentals, and an even better job of coaching character traits into young men. I would highly recommend it to any linemen"

Thank you to Farrington V.P Ron Oyama, Kaimuki Principal Wade Araki, Kaimuki A.D Fred Lee, for their hospitality and assistance in helping us service the youth of Hawaii. This is Derby Camp's 20th year of helping the the youth of Hawaii with FREE camps. We will be doing another food drive for the Ronald McDonald House.

The 2015 Derby Camp FOOD DRIVE was a great hit. Derby camp 2015 gave unselfishly, collecting well over 2000 Pounds of Rice and tons of paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.) and canned goods for the RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE-HAWAII. The Ronald McDonald House has given so much to our families in need that I wanted to give something back to the RMH.

Mahalo to everyone that makes Derby Football Camps possible;

Oregon Camp-Oregon:

Posted by Dirk Knudsen at Mar 25, 2010 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Hello Derby Camp Oregon Family;

  I am sad to inform you all that there will not be a Derby Camp in Oregon this year.  Coach Knudsen has other commitments and cannot devote the time to put together Derby Camp. It takes a lot of work and Dirk has done a tremendous job in the past, but with this hard economic times, Coach Knudsen needs to take care of family matters and devote his time to his work.

Coming to Oregon to work with the fine young men of the Northwest is the highlight of my Summer and our Coaches as well.  Please accpet my humble apologies and continue to work hard. Continue to posess a Great Attitude, Great Work Ethic, and be very Discipline as you prepare for your upcomoing season.

 Stay Safe and please call me or Dirk Knudsen if you need any help or have any questions regarding other Camps/Clinics. God Bless....Coach Derby

Coach Derby helped me be a State Champion

Posted by Dirk Knudsen at Jul 5, 2009 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

"The Derby Camp was a great experience and taught me how to play on the Offensive line. Brian Derby taught me what it meant to work hard, have good technique, and to be a good person. As a result, I was a starter all 4 years of football, team captain my senior year, and received the Outstanding Summer Athlete for my football team my senior year. I also received the offensive MVP award for my team, and I can thank Brian Derby and his team of coaches for these accomplishments! In addition, I received area and state recognition. The best part is that I was able to help my team come from a 23 game losing streak, and considered the doormats of Idaho, to the Idaho State Champions in one year! Part of the reason I could help my team was because I was taught and understand the techniques of playing on the line and was able to help my fellow linemen improve on the line. Our team’s offense was dependent on the offensive line performing, which we did! We were not the usual unsung heroes of our State Championship team—linemen finally got the recognition they deserve!!!! So much for the Quarterbacks, running backs, etc. being the only skilled players on the field! I would highly recommend the Brian Derby Football camp—those attending will never be sorry! Aloha Coach Derby and Coach Mike!!! "
