1995 Bucks

The 1995 Bucks went 7-3 on the season under Head Coach Rich Dodson. Assistant Coaches: Bob Jenne, Mike Koshar, Bill Turner, Brian Gaugler, and Terry Reynolds. They scored 205 points while giving up 217.

QB Tim Devericks was 88 of 176 for 1,266 yards with 10 TD's and 9 INT's. Nick Andrukat was the leading receiver with 17 recptions for 343 yards, 4 TD and 24 points. Jeremy Easterday led all rushers with 405 yards on 94 carries 7 TD's and 42 points scored. Dave Meyers led all tacklers with 83. Most Valuable Player was T. J. Powers and the Golden Buck Award Winner was Matt Perkins.

1968 Bucks

The 1968 Bucks went 3-6 on the season under Head Coach Mike Lewis. Captain was Jim Persing.

Most Valuable Player was Bob Rising. Bob Boyce made the AP All-State 2nd Team as well as Medina County 1st Team, Inland Conference 1st Team, All Akron Beacon Journal 1st Team, and All District 1st Team.

1958 Bucks

The 1958 Bucks went 3-5-1 on the season under Head Coach John Murphy, with Asst. Coaches John Sbatella and Bill Kovalchik. Co-Captains were Bill Swingle and Mike Steingass.

Named to the All Beacon Journal First Team went to Mike Steingass and Jack Dunn. All-Inland Conference First Team members were Mike Steingass, Jack Dunn, and Dick Mossford. Cleveland Brown Dante Lavelli spoke at the Awards Banquet. This team included 5 Steingasses - Tim, Mike, Bobby E., Bobby J., and Bill.

From The GAZETTE: By Jason P. Skoda, Staff Writer The 2002 football season had a record of four Medina County schools qualify for the playoffs. Now area individuals are reaping the benefits of the standard-setting year. Twenty players were named Wednesday to the Northeast Inland All-District first team, including Buckeye junior Darren Cereshko, who was named the co-Defensive Player of the Year in Division III. Also receiving special recognition was Brunswick coach Rich Nowak, who was named the Division I co-Coach of the Year. Buckeye, which qualified for the postseason for the first time, had two other defensive players joining Cereshko on the first team. Junior linebacker Tyler Van Drei and senior defensive tackle Travs Travers were also honored. Highland had senior fullback Elijah Blower and linebacker Brett Lonjak make the first-team. Three Buckeye seniors picked up honorable mention recognition. They are offensive lineman Chad Collins, linebacker Tim Maxworthy and running back Forest Mercer. Cereshko, who shared the top defensive honor with Cuyahoga Falls Walsh Jesuit's linebacker John Mackey, finished the year with 51 total tackles, recovered three fumbles, picked off 12 passes and returned four for touchdowns. Brunswick's surprising undefeated regular season put five Blue Devils on the first team. Nowak shared his award with Warren Harding's Thom McDaniels and Hudson's Tom Narducci. Earning all-district honors for Brunswick were seniors Jamison Hultine, an offensive lineman, quarterback Matt Wisniewski, linebacker Josh Clark, defensive lineman Jesse Swedberg and defensive back Tim Botson. Two senior Devils — running back Joe Koren and defensive back — Chris McAndrew were honorable mention picks. Wadsworth, which made its first postseason appearance since 1999, had three juniors make the first team in quarterback Clint Cochran, running back/wide receiver Paul Macko and linebacker Luke Busson. Grizzlies picking up honorable mentions were junior wide receiver Mike Marshall and senior lineman Will Ling. Medina seniors — running back Reggie Hough and defensive back Montreal Wade — round out the D-I selections from the area. Senior defensive lineman Stephen Castro and junior linebacker Chris Gore were named to the honorable mention squad. Black River had four players make the D-IV first team as senior fullback Brett Hastings, senior defensive back Brian Ensign, senior wide receiver Andrew Cortese and junior defensive lineman Kyle Clark were tabbed after guiding the Pirates to the playoffs. Junior linebacker Stefan Mullins and senior offensive lineman Drew Dillon earned honorable mentions. Cloverleaf's junior offensive lineman Joel Belding was a first-team pick in D-II, while the Colts' senior kicker Andrew Kaminski received honorable mention recognition. All first-team selections are nominated for All-Ohio honors.
