Due to the weather, Intramurals are canceled tonight. JV Intramurals are on Wednesday 7:45-9:45. Any Varsity pitchers who did not throw yesterday are welcome to attend Wednesday’s session. The final Varsity Intramural is on Friday 7-9…weather permitting.

Parkland Athletic Department will hold free Spring Sports physicals on Wednesday, February 15th in the Aux. Gym 5:30 – 7pm.

Please remember to bring your completed PIAA physical form to the free physical, the doctor will complete section 7. Every high school athlete must also complete an ImPACT Concussion test once in their 4 years of high school, before they try out for a sport. Information on www.parklandsd.org/athletics.

It is that time of year that we have intramural sessions. Please see the calendar on this website for the schedule. Varsity sessions are for players who are juniors or seniors and sophomores who played on our JV team last year. JV sessions are for all other players. Please note the later start on Wednesdays.

Parents of players interested in trying out for baseball at Parkland in the spring please join us for a preseason parents meeting with Coach Weber on Thursday, December 15th at 7:00pm-8:00pm. This will be a Zoom meeting.

If your son will be trying out for the team in March, this is a meeting you won’t want to miss. Topics will include:

• Program Details: Personnel, Philosophies, etc.
• Winter intramurals explained
• Requirements to tryout in March: Paperwork, Eligibility, Etc.
• The tryout process explained: What we are looking for and how we look for it
• Some basic high school equipment rules to know
