Pythons vs. Coon Rapids @ Wintercrest Field - June 12th

Dillon Bloomquist was the starting pitcher going 3 innings allowing 5 runs,  5 hits, 3 walks, and 2 strikeouts. Unfortunately, we weren't getting the same hits to keep up with them, and after 3 innings it was 5-0 Coon Rapids.

Matt Kiecker came on in relief to pitch in the 3rd inning - he finished the game going 4 - 1/3 innings 9 hits, 4 runs, and 4 walks.

Our bats finally came alive in the 4th inning, but we came up just short losing in the bottom of the 7th.

Final Coon Rapids 9 - Python's 8.

Pythons vs. Faribault @ Ali BB - June 8th

Not sure if it was the drastic temperature change from the night before - with it dropping about 50 degrees had shocked the boys at first giving up 3 first inning runs, but they came alive and handled Faribault like it was a breeze.

Matt Gregoire was on the mound for the complete game, allowing 11 hits , 1 base on balls, and 7 runs for the game which went 6 innings.

Offense was on fire again, Eric Gray and Chase Boshart both had homeruns for the team.  We racked up 15 hits and 19 runs!!  Woo-hoo!!

Final Python's 19- Faribault 7.

Python's vs. Edina @ Coon Rapids Wintercrest Field - June 12th

We headed up north to Coon Rapids for a Sunday afternoon of baseball - first up Edina.  Cole Wilkie was on the mound to start the game for the Python's. He went 3 innings giving up 3 runs to leave the game after 3, score Edina 3 - Burnsville 1.

Anthony Resvick (Birthday Boy) came on in relief in the 4th inning getting squeezed by the empire he allowed only 1 run in relief appearance.

Burnsville tried to come back putting up another run in the 5th inning, but came up just short suffering their first loss of the season to Edina.

Final Edina 4 - Burnsville 2.

Python's vs. Lakeville North @ Lakeville North HS - June 11th

Plenty of opportunies with numerous times we left runners on base and couldn't get them home. All in all we had 10 hits, 7 walks, a hitter batter, and 5 runs. Chase was the starting pitcher pitching thru the 5th inning allowing 3 runs on 5 hits, 1 walk, with 8 strikeouts. Unfortunately Lakeville got a few of those timely hits and walks in the 5th inning to tie the game 3-3. Eric Gray came on to pitch the 7th inning allowing only 1 hit and then some good defense getting the first batter to ground out, the 2nd batter got a hit but was picked off on an attempted stolen base, and the final out was a pop fly. Sending us into extra innings.... The Python's came out on a mission in the top of the 8th  with a single hit by Tj, a double by Logan Kent, and Danny Depauw got a single to tally 2 more runs for us.

Lakeville came up in the bottom of the 8th inning against Eric Gray got a walk and then to ground ball outs including a nicely turned double play to end the game.

Python's 5 - Lakeville North 3.

Python's vs. Bloomington @ Ali BB - June 6th

Well the boys from Bloomington came to town in hopes of shutting the Python's down.... they came closer than any other team, but in the end our bats proved to be more than they could handle.

Nate Buckley started the game - he pitched a couple of good innings until the heat got the best of him. He left after going 2 - 2/3 innings. He did get a lot of support on the home side of the innings. Score was Python's 8 - Bloomington 5 after 3 innings. Eric Gray's seeing the ball VERY WELL hitting yet another homerun - a 3 run shot in the 2nd inning.

Alex Emery came on in relief during the 3rd inning pitched into the 6th allowing a few hits, and 2 runs.  Our bats were still hot and we tacked on 4 more runs in the 6th inning.

When we brought in Chase to close out the 6th and pitch the 7th innings.  He allowed two runs but was able to close it out.

Final score Python's 12 - Bloomington 9.
