THE FACTS

2000-01 overall record: 11-3
Lettermen returning: 11
Starters returning: 7
Look back: The Falcons bounced back from a loss to Council Rock to upset North Penn on the final night of the regular season. That gave Pennsbury a tie for the division title with North Penn. The Falcons also captured the Section One team title.
Look ahead: Pennsbury has an enticing trip to Orlando on the Schedule for Dec. 19, when the Falcons will compete in a dual-meet tournament. As for the SOL, Pennsbury could win the championship outright. A third-place finish is also possible.
Key matches: Due to the goofy SOL scheduling formula, Pennsbury has only four home meets. The title will be determined in the last three matches. The Falcons travel to North Penn and Neshaminy before hosting Council Rock.
Coach's comment: "I think it will be a real dogfight. North Penn has a strong team coming back. Neshaminy had an excellent young team last year that will mature. Council Rock is always tough. And we see ourselves as being one of the favorites."
WRESTLERS TO WATCH
Top returnees: Sellers went 36-9 last season, winning the Class AAA Southeast Regional and going 1-2 at the PIAA tournament. His losses at states were to the eventual runner-up and fourth-place finisher. Schimpf went 33-12 and finished fourth at regionals. Bowman (16-7) was a regional qualifier. Vagnozzi (24-8) and Frain (22-10) won Section One crowns.
Top newcomers: Allen gained experience wrestling in the summer. Bramwell is the defending ninth-grade champion.
Key losses: Twins Rich and Steve Schirner, who combined for 59 victories last year, have graduated. Other seniors who departed were Keith Reilly and Adam Sujdak. Bobby Speer won 19 bouts a year ago, but he decided to concentrate on football in the off-season. Jeff Spiker won 15 bouts, but will stick to soccer after a good season playing defense for the SOL Patriot champion Falcons.
