Letter to Parents and Players

Posted by Denise Montgomery at Mar 29, 2004 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )
HILLCREST FOOTBALL
2004 - 2005
Prospective players and their parents, please be advised of the following dates and important information: All players must obtain a physical and parents permission. The physical should be dated on or after April 1, which will make it good for the 2004 - 2005 school year. No player, other than transfers, will be allowed to participate in the fall if they do not attend spring football practice. Players still involved in spring sports will be excused. Players must have 26 lifts during the summer. These lifts will be at Hillcrest High School unless arrangements are made with Coach Garrick. This summer we will have ten days of 7 on 7 practice against other schools and ten days of offensive and defensive line practice. Players are expected to attend at least eight of these ten sessions. All parents should understand that your son is now involved in High School Football, unlike Recreation Football. Everyone does not get to play, regardless of the number of recreational championship teams he has been a part of or the number of times he has made all-stars. We as coaches fairly evaluate our players and will play the best players, which should eliminate any discussion regarding a players' playing time. There are several volunteer coaches involved with this program. At NO time will a parent address one of these coaches in public about their child. All questions and concerns will be addressed to Coach Garrick. If a parent disrespects any coach in public, his child could be immediately removed from the football program. Any parent who comes to practice will stay behind the fence surrounding the practice field and should not distract their son during practice time. All vacations should be over by July 29, 2004.
