Diamond Dusters Fastpitch Softball Team

Congratulations to the 10-U Diamond Dusters for taking an exciting road trip to San Marcos and going undefeated in brackt play to win the Championship at the San Marcos Spring Classic! Commendations go out to all the players and coaches on the awesome games! Batting practice really payed off and showed with the big sticks knocking the cover off the ball! The pitchers were on, defense was excellent and the bats were on fire! What a great way to enjoy your weekend going: 7-0-1 in pool and bracket play! Diamond Dusters would like to say Thank You and Congratulations also to the 2nd place San Marcos Fury and 3rd place San Antonio Gator Girls! Congratulations Dusters - Keep Up the Good Work!!!

Congratulations to the Diamond Dusters for going 4-0-1 in the NSA World Qualifer at the Houston Sportsplex! Thanks to some exciting games from many out of town teams such as New Braunsfels Bombers and San Marcos Fury. Congratulations to Angleton Texas Trouble for their second place finish (Also a first year 10U team like us)! Super pitching, great defense and clutch hitting led the Dusters to a 6-0 Championship Victory and a berth to NSA State and World Series! Way to bring it all together and play Duster Ball as a team like you've been known for! Congratulations from the Diamond Dusters Coaches and Parents!

Thanks to all 17 teams that came out to support the Diamond Dusters this past weekend! Everyone was all for the 2-day tournament, so we all worked together (including the weather) to make it happen. We had to cut off teams to make it possible, and the 17 teams had to give it their all to be able to finish it. After an early 8:00 start on Saturday, the Champions finished up at Midnight! Thanks to all the players, parents and coaches for being so tough and supporting each other to make it happen! THE DIAMOND DUSTERS PLAYED IN THE CY-FAIR BATTZ TOURNEY THIS PAST WEEKEND. THE LADIES PLAYED 9 GAMES AND FINISHED AS RUNNER-UPS. WHAT A GREAT JOB! YOU GIRLS ARE PLAYING SOME GREAT BALL. YOU'RE SHOWING WHY YOU WERE THE 8-UNDER WORLD CHAMPS. YOU BEAT SOME VERY GOOD 2ND YEAR TEAMS THIS WEEKEND, AND SOME WHO HAVE TO MOVE UP TO 12 UNDER IN JANUARY. GREAT JOB DUSTERS - YOU'RE MAKING US VERY PROUD!

THE DUSTERS PLAYED AT THE HOUSTON SPORTSPLEX IN THEIR FIRST 10-UNDER TOURNEY OF THE YEAR. THEY CAME AWAY THE RUNNER-UPS AND QUALIFIED FOR THE NSA WORLD SERIES. WITH ONLY THREE PRACTICES UNDER THEIR BELT, THE LADIES DID A GREAT JOB. WE STILL HAVE ALOT TO IMPROVE ON BUT WE WILL GET THERE. GOOD JOB DUSTERS!
