Diamond Dusters Fastpitch Softball Team

CONGRATULATIONS DIAMOND DUSTERS! The Dusters went undefeated in bracket play at the Cy-Fair Stars tournament making it to the Championship Game with some tough wins over Friendswood Eclipse, Rock-N-Fire and Southern Pride. With an extended delay the Dusters went into the Championship game a little flat, but to again face Southern Pride who came back with some VERY hot sticks (Congratulations to SP's "Elbow" #44 for her homerun!)and the Dusters couldn't quite hang this time, but had a great weekend taking 2nd place! We are very proud of the Diamond Dusters' Runner Up finish and Congratulations to Southern Pride on their win! Thanks to the Monroe & the Stars for a good tournament - we were happy to be drawn to win our entry fee back! Keep up the good work Dusters - You've come a long way this first year! Good Luck at State next weekend and then we'll see all the 10-Unders back on the field next season! 1-2-3 Dusters, You Know!!!

The DIAMOND DUSTERS went to Austin this past weekend and placed second .We started our first pool game at 10:00 am Saturday and finished the last game at 10:00 pm saturday night.We started off a little flat in our first bracket game and fell into the losers bracket.Then the journey begain,we made it to the championship game and battled to the if game to only come up a little short losing the if game 3-2.It was a long day for the dusters playing 8 games in 12 hours with no more than a 30 min break,only twice.THANKS TX Fury you have a very good team and well coached. 1..2..3... DUSTERS YOU KNOW !!!!!!!!!

DIAMOND DUSTERS MADE THEIR MOTHERS' DAY ON MOTHER'S DAY!!! CONGRATULATIONS TO THE DIAMOND DUSTERS FOR BRINGING HOME HARDWARE AT THE MOTHER'S DAY MADNESS TOURNAMENT! AFTER A RUSTY START IN THEIR POOL GAMES, THE DUSTERS PULLED IT BACK TOGETHER FOR BRACKET PLAY GOING UNDEFEATED TO THE TOP OF THE WINNERS BRACKET AFTER DEFEATING RESPECTED TEAMS - BEAUMONT BLAST AND KATY EXPRESS - THEN LOSING TO ANOTHER GREAT TEAM - HIT AWAY. DUSTERS THEN HAD TO FACE SOUTHERN PRIDE AT THE TOP OF THE LOSERS BRACKET, DEFEATING THEM 4-1 TO FACE HIT AWAY ONCE AGAIN! IN A TOUGH FOUGHT CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, THE DUSTERS HUNG IN THERE GOING INTO THE 4TH INNING 0-0 WITH NOT QUITE ENOUGH TO PULL OFF ANOTHER, ENDING IN 2-0! CONGRATULATIONS DIAMOND DUSTERS! YOU GIRLS ARE FACING SOME OF THE BEST 2ND YEAR 10-U TEAMS IN THIS AREA AND NEVER GIVING UP - YOU CAN ONLY KEEP GETTING BETTER AND GROW THROUGH THESE EXPERIENCES! WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU - AND ALL THE MOMS THANK YOU FOR A GREAT MOTHER'S DAY GIFT!

THE DUSTERS CAME HOME FROM SUGARLAND WITH THE TITLE OF RUNNER-UP! THE DUSTERS STICKS/ERRORS HURT THEM IN THEIR FIRST BRACKET GAME, CAUSING THEM A LOSS OF 6-5. THE DUSTERS THEN PUT ON THEIR GAME FACES AND HAD A LONG ROAD TO BATTLE BACK TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, DUSTERS JUMPED AHEAD AND ENDED UP WINNING 5-1! THE IF GAME WAS NECESSARY, BUT AFTER 4 BACK-TO-BACK GAMES SUNDAY IN THE HEAT OF THE DAY, THE DUSTERS JUST DIDN'T HAVE QUITE ENOUGH GAS TO PULL OFF ANOTHER ONE, LOSING THE IF GAME 5-2. WE ARE VERY PROUD OF THE DUSTERS FOR PLAYING HARD AND HANGING TOUGH TO BRING HOME THE SECOND PLACE VICTORY! KEEP ON PLAYING HARD - GOOD THINGS ARE HAPPENING! 1,2,3 DUSTERS - YOU KNOW!!!

Congratulations to the Dusters for taking a little road trip to San Antonio and bringing home hardware! The girls and their families had a nice "weekend vacation" in San Antonio, enjoying the Riverwalk, Market Square, delicious mexican food, great entertainment and of course, awesome softball games! Way to battle this weekend with great pitching, tough defense, and hot sticks that just needed a little more lighter fluid boost to take the Championship Game!
