Saturday 5thy May 2007, Kilroot rec II 0 v 5 Bangor Swifts II @ Beltoy Title challengers Bangor Swifts II must have thought a tougher match lay in front of them at Beltoy but Kilroot in their fourth match in eight days gave a respectable performance until the 38 minute when Mark Latimer was dismissed after that it was a stroll in the Beltoy Park for the marauding Bangor Swifts. Tuesday 1st May 2007, Queens Colts 6 v 0 Kilroot Rec II @ The Dub Queens colts scored five against Kilroot II at Beltoy on 21 April today they went one better scoring six and kept a clean sheet as well. This was a big embarrassment to this star studded Kilroot side that travelled to the dub expecting something out of the game and got a bitter lesson in the art of scoring goals. Colts two up at half time cruising you could say. Second half they upped the auntie completely trouncing Kilroot scoring another four goals. Kilroot cause wasn’t helped by the sending of player maker and local boxer Chris Armstrong in the 70th minute. Kilroot introduced two subs Chris Barry and Andy Mearns replaced Gary McCahon and David Gillespie but had little chance to make an impact on the game. Kilroot team, Russell Wallace, David Gillespie ( Andy Mearns) Edd Armstrong, John Smiley, Glen Crawford, Simon Hamilton, Chris Armstrong (sent off 70) Trevor Cole, Gary McCahon (Chris Barry ) Darren White, Stephen McClean

The only unsavoury incident at this game was on the way out when the car Roy McMaster’s was in and another blocked in a Kilroot car and assaulted a Kilroot player. Thankfully there were more mature heads in the Kilroot car and an ugly scene was averted. Kilroot team, Glen McCauley, Colin Adair, Paul Mather, Phillip Burnside, Barry Meek, Mark Latimer (Gary Mulholland 75) David Armstrong, Darren McKinty (sent off 57) Phillip Glover (Trevor Cole 60) David Kidd John Mathers.
