Rochester Pride - RSC Lightning '96

In place of our normal team practice on Thursday, 10 May, I want all players to attend the Varsity match between Rochester High & Rochester Adams at Rochester Adams H.S. The match will run roughly from about 6:30-8:30 or so. I’ve had this date circled on my calendar since March and I think every player will benefit by watching this match. This is an excellent opportunity to watch some of the highest caliber soccer in the area and a great opportunity for fun and learning all rolled into one. Rochester Adams is one of the best programs in the state having won the state championship in 1999. Two players from that team, Kristen Fisher and Abby Crumpton, are currently playing Division 1 soccer (Florida & Michigan respectively) and have also been called up to the National Team at the U-18 and U-21 levels. Rochester is a very young & scrappy team this season doing a good job of holding their own in one of the toughest division in the state, which includes powerhouse teams Troy Athens (current state champ), Troy H.S. as well as Adams. Several of my former players are currently playing for both Rochester and Adams. Admission for students is $2.00. Parents, you are also invited and urged to attend, as it is also an opportunity for fun and learning for us as well. Adult admission is $3.00. Rochester Adams is located at the northwest corner of Adams & Dutton. Parking for the soccer field is off Adams Rd. just north of Teinken. To reiterate, this field trip is instead of normal practice – not in addition to it. And I do want all players to attend. If rides or carpooling are a problem, call me. We will try to get a ride for everybody. If you are unable to attend, you should also please let me know just like a regular practice. This is really going to be a fun outing and I am excited and looking forward to it. Coach Knut
