A standout catcher during her days at Clear Lake, the freshman Jordan split playing time between center field and catcher for the Lady Lions while also batting in the lead-off position.

"Mari brings an intensity to the game that is quite exciting to watch, especially in center field where she is willing to sacrifice her body to make an out. She is also fun to coach because her sense of humor helps keep the team loose," coach Laura Christopher said. "She is a great team leader. I'm delighted we were able to recruit Mari and that she accepted our scholarship offer."

As the Lions' lead-off hitter, Jordan not only led the team in batting average, but she posted a .543 on-base percentage and a team-best .757 slugging percentage, racking up four doubles, two triples and one home run. While playing mostly center field, Jordan was asked to catch in several games and she did well behind the plate, throwing out five of seven would-be base stealers. The Lady Lions resume play in late January and play through the spring.
