What's an A/R to do ?

Posted by Bob Hansen at Nov 23, 2001 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )
You are the assistant referee. The ball is in play in the goal area on your half of the field. You see an attacking player standing directly in front of the keeper. The ball comes toward the attacker. You see the goal keeper pull the attacker back by the shirt to get around him. The keeper dives on the ball. Let us know what you think the A/R should do. Cover as many points as you can and back them up by stating which law backs up your opinion. Have fun and learn at the same time. I will be posting my answer along with the most complete answer given by our members. E-mail your answer to CLC Ref 1
