2016 CIF OPEN DIVISION PLAYOFFS:

  Opened as the Number 1 Seed; Lost to LJCD 3-4; Lost to Grossmont 1-2 

 2016 AVOCADO WEST LEAGUE CHAMPIONS: League Record 14-1; Defeated Vista two out of three and swept all other league opponents.

On Saturday May 14th the Mavericks completed a three game sweep of Carlsbad to win the Avocado West 2016 League Championship. The Mavericks won 7-2, 9-0 and 7-0 to hold off Carlsbad which fell into third place.

The CIF Playoff Seeding Meeting Will Be Held Saturday May 21st, 2016. 

   On May 10th the Mavericks (11-1, 20-5) beat Carlsbad (8-3, 19-6) by a score of 7-2 in the first game of a three game series with the second place Lancers in a key Avocado West League match up.  Vista (8-3, 20-6) which handed the Mavericks the one league loss and beat Carlsbad 2 out of 3 games is now poised to leapfrog over Carlsbad into second place.
