This is your last call for banquet tickets. Tickets cost $10 each. Please send your list of attendees with your EMT to bsa.barrieslopitch@gmail.com by Tuesday. Final numbers need to be given to the hall on Wednesday. You can also pay in cash by dropping your cash off with your list of attendees to any board member.
The Fall AGM and End of the Year Banquet will be held on October 20, 2018 at the Lion’s Gate Banquet Hall, 386 Blake Street, Barrie, ON L4M 1L3.
The mandatory meeting will be held at 1:00 pm where prizing will be given out to 1st and 2nd Place teams in League and Playoffs. Voting for the 2019 board of directors will also take place. Only captains are able to attend the meeting.
The Banquet will start at 8:30 pm. There will be door prizes, a taco bar and Gord Richardson will be our DJ for the evening. Tickets will cost $10.00 per person. This is only to keep track of numbers due to the size of the venue. Captains can either pay in cash or send an EMT to bsa.barrieslopitch@gmail.com.

It was a pleasure running this tourney and from the feedback I heard, many many teams were happy with the split of the divisions early, which ensured they received at least 3 or 4 QUALITY games vs. possibly just one! We proved we could instill this level of quality even in a quick 10 team format!!!

SURPRISE!!! A New Coed Tourney has been confirmed for next Saturday the 29th!!!
It’ll be significantly cheaper then most other tourneys and a quick one day! The diamonds were necessary for our League to reserve for our Sunday Divisions already so instead of paying cancellation fees, we’re reinvesting the money into a tourney for our players!!! UPDATE: SCHEDULES TO BE RELEASED THURSDAY BY NOON!
Basically not much to update here, all games are into the knockout stage with the REC Final @ Noon (7 Innings); a Comp Semifinal between the Ducks @ Daddys Home (Timed); then the winner playing right after in a 7 inning Final, for the Daytime Division Championship vs. the Noams!
Congrats to all teams in our Division and best of luck to all teams remaining!
WEEK 3 - UPDATED PLAYOFF INFO. (9/11)
Congratulations to our Daytime Divisions Competitive Teams for the successful seasons.
The Competitive format is as follows:
4th v 5th – Dust Control @ TrainWreck 12pm
1st v 4th/5th(SF) – WINNER @ Noams – 115pm
3rd v 6th – Ducks @ Jagerbombers – 2:30pm
2nd v 7th – Hit Happens @ Daddys Home 3:45pm
Our website is limited due to it’s inability to display games without 2 ‘defined’ opponents, so I’m sending this to you all in addition to what’s been definitively listed on the site. The Winners of the 3/6 and 2/7 games will play Sept 23rd @ 1:30pm; with the final playing the other finalist (winner of this Sundays 1:15pm game) right after @ 3pm in a 7 inning Championship.
Also Congratulations to the Alcoballics and Bangers for making the finals of the Daytime Divisions Rec Playoffs!
The Rec format was listed is as follows:
4th v 5th – Purple Team @ Bangers – 11:45am TN
1st v 4th/5th(SF) – WINNER (Bangers) @ Bat Flippers – 1pm TN
3rd v 6th – Mighty Bats @ Just a Bit Oustaide – 2:15pm TN
2nd v 3rd/6th(SF) – WINNER (Just a Bit Outside) @ Alcoballics 3:30pm TN
The Championship Game for the Rec Division will now take place as a 7 inning game on Sept 23rd @ 12pm
Right now, ALL GAMES are at Tree Nursery 1 but we’re confirming resources (Trying to upgrade our diamonds to the Sports Complex) and will confirm as soon as we get word. In the meantime, my worksheet is below to give you as much communication as possible!
