Midget A2 Information

Posted by Patrick Mann at Sep 22, 2016 11:45AM PDT ( 0 Comments )

I have attached our proposed budget to the documents section of the teampage. We are looking at $1250 per family. Can I get a cheque for $750 from each family made out to Coquitlam Midget A2 Chiefs please. We need to start paying for a number of items. I will ask for the other $500 in December.

Darcia Ball has volunteered to be our Team Parent so thank you Darcia.

I will be attending the PCAHA coaches and managers meeting this Sunday where I should get our schedule for Tiering. The games can begin as early as October 1st. Once confirmed I will enter them into our calendar.

The tournament in Penticton is coming up. There are quite a few teams from the PCAHA attending. A couple of which will be Final 4 contenders. The schedule should be out within the next few days. I have been told that the earliest game on Friday will be 3pm. The tournament ends on Sunday so the kids have a rest day Monday.

On the Tuesday before the tournament at 6pm at Innovative Fitness (Planet Ice) will be the first dryland session where they will perform a fitness evaluation that we will use as a baseline for comparison later in the season. Practice follows at 9pm.

Coach Jerry would like to have a players meeting during the time between dryland and practice on that Tuesday, October 4th. I am working on details and will post as soon as they are confirmed.

And, finally, do not forget to fill out all the forms in the envelope you received during tryouts and hand those back to me including the required deposit cheques.

Thanks, Patrick

Team Duties (Updated)

Posted by Patrick Mann at Sep 22, 2016 8:44AM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Thank you to all of you who have stepped up for team duties. Here’s the updated list.

Treasurer, Karen Barr
Teamlink and Gamesheets, Tony Marr
Assistant Coach, Dan Pelletier
Scoresheet, Geordy Pringle
Time Keeper, Steve Smith
(Although we may need volunteers when either Geordy or Steve are unavailable.)
Hockey Canada Safety Person, Narcisse Amin (Sam’s mom) and Ralph Mikaelsen
First Aid, Narcisse Amin
Tournament organizing parents, Lee Ann Smith, Stella Smith

That only leaves one role left that’s pretty easy if you like organizing things.

Team Parent (Organize non-hockey team activities like lunches, dinners, etc.)

I would like to have this position filled soon since we might want to do something with the boys during our Penticton trip.

Thanks, Patrick
