Team Chicago Academy-Vasco Head Coach and Illinois high school coaching legend Joe Moreau was inducted into the Jodie Harrison Lifetime Achievement Award Hall of Fame at St. Charles East High School on Saturday night.

While the Head Coach at St. Charles East H.S. Joe Moreau won five IHSA State Championships. The current Neuqua Valley H.S. Head Coach also coached Neuqua to an IHSA State Championship and last June steered the team to the IHSA State Championship final.

Tomorrow, on the National Letter of Intent Signing Day, Joe and Team Chicago will recognize 8 of his Vasco players who have committed to playing college soccer starting this upcoming fall. The ceremony will take place in the WAA Sports Center at 4pm. Please, come help celebrate this achievement.

Congrats Joe on all your accomplishments over the years at St. Charles East, Neuqua Valley, and here at Team Chicago.


Team Chicago Academy-Vasco standout Ella Wagoner has committed to Concordia University Chicago. Ella – who plays her prep soccer at Rosary – will be part of Concordia Head Coach Chris “Brownie” Brown’s 2016 recruiting class.

The Cougars are part of the NCAA Division III Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC).

Lucy Koger Commits to Millikin!

Team Chicago Academy-Vasco standout Lucy Koger has committed to Millikin University. Lucy – who plays her prep soccer for Head Coach Steve Goletz at Naperville North H.S. – will be part of Millikin Head Coach Kate McArthur’s 2016 recruiting class.

The Big Blue is part of the NCAA Division III College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCWI). Lucy will be joining fellow Team Chicago Academy-Vasco player Raven Withaar at Millikin.

Mariyah Zeitz Commits to Lewis!

Team Chicago Academy-Vasco standout Mariyah Zeitz has accepted a great scholarship offer to continue her soccer career at Lewis University. Mariyah – who plays her prep soccer for Head Coach Laura Wagley at West Aurora H.S., will be part of Lewis Head Coach Chris Koenig’s 2016 recruiting class.

The Flyers are members of the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). Mariyah will be joining former Team Chicago Academy-Internacional GK Shelby Stitz at Lewis.


Natalie Massa & Paige Miller from Team Chicago Academy-Bahia and Katelyn Nardulli & Tara Tesmond from Team Chicago Academy-Vitoria represented Region II ODP at the National ODP Camp in Phoenix over the past week.

The event was for the top ODP players in each of the four regions in the 2001 and 2002 birth-years. During the event the girls did functional training, mixed group training, and played scrimmages under the watchful eyes of both U.S. Soccer National Team staff and staff from each of the four regions.
