Happy Sunday, Fairport Baseball Families!

It’s time to begin our annual Leo’s & Special Touch Bakery baked goods fundraiser for 2020. You have about two weeks to get your orders in.

We are delighted to continue our partnership with the School of the Holy Child and their Special Touch Bakery. This organization benefits people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Therefore, your selling efforts will not only help the baseball program but also support a great local charity. We are appreciative of the wonderful families in our baseball organization making the extra effort to sell these pies not only for Fairport baseball but for the Special Touch Bakery! See the doc posted for the complete descriptions of the items for sale.

The completed order sheet posted in docs needs to be submitted with payment to Camille Sackett by December 1st. Checks should be made out to Fairport Baseball Booster Club.
Address for mail or drop-off:
Camille Sackett
23 Little Spring Run
Fairport, NY 14450 (off Kreag Rd, near Kreag Rd Park)
(585)319-1700 mobile

Pies, Cakes, and Cookies will be ready for players to pick up on December 19th, 12 pm-2 pm at FAIRPORT LITTLE LEAGUE COMPLEX Players are responsible for delivering items sold to their customers. If you are not able to make it please make other arrangements for someone to pick them up for you. Pies come frozen and we do not have storage for them.

Monies raised from our fundraisers allow us to buy extra equipment, clothing, gear, program hats, and shirts for our baseball program in an effort to make the experience fantastic for our student-athletes. Our goal is to make the FHS Baseball program the best in Section V. These fundraisers are used to keep your booster club fees to a minimum. We hope to continue that trend and WE NEED EVERYONE TO SELL A BAKER’S DOZEN 13!

It is our tradition to offer prizes as incentives to players, encouraging participation in this fundraiser. This year’s incentives are:
1. Top seller receives Apple AirPods with Charging Case
2. Second place seller receives a $75 Amazon gift card
3. Third place seller receives a $50 Amazon gift card
4. Fourth place seller receives a $25 Amazon gift card
5. Anyone selling the Baker’s Dozen 13 will also receive a special baseball T-Shirt (** qualifiers should note what size T they would like on their pie form when they turn the form in)

Thank you to Accede Mold & Tool Co. for their help in sponsoring our incentive program.

If you have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out by text or email.

Be well,
Camille (FBBC VP)

Thank you to all the parents, players, families, and coaches who came out for our shortened Fall season. A special thanks to Fairport Little League and the High Acres Sports Complex for allowing us to use their fields. Another thank you to Jason Rucker and Chris Lindquist for making sure the fields were prepared for game time. As a program, we are shutting down our arms until January 1st. If you have outside pitching coaches, please converse with them about your arm regiment.

Due to Covid, there have been guidelines in place for what we can offer for strength and conditioning. We are looking at TrainHeroic (mentioned before) with our Fairport Central School Physical Trainer, Jon Lin. I have asked him to have the baseball program up and running starting December 1st, 2020 with a 15-week program. Feel free to access it at no cost.

There has been an update from Coach Jon Lin on the TrainHeroic workout program. I’ve included his notes below:

I will be uploading all the workouts onto Train Heroic, which is a platform where everyone can see the workouts remotely and do on their own if they choose to. This will be set up as a 2 days/week training program where Monday and Tuesday are the same workouts and Wednesday and Thursday are the same. Athletes can choose however way to get the 2 days (M/W, T/R, M/R, etc)

To access the workouts:
1.) Download the Train Heroic app on your phone (The logo is a yellow H)
2.) Create an account (if you don’t have one already)
3.) Enter Access code: TRAINREMOTE
Workouts have been published Monday-Thursday through the rest of this month, although I may go in and make some changes.
 Coach Lin

Thank you,
Coach Tom Caputo
