Team Chicago Arsenal, Coached by Anne Iwinski, U9 got runner up in the Premiership division of the Midwest Cup hosted by Campton United Memorial Weekend. The girls fought hard all weekend not letting any goals against. It was an exciting weekend of really beautiful soccer!!! They started the tournament on Saturday morning beating Galaxy 2-0. The girls went on to play 2 games on Sunday. First facing Campton United and winning 4-0 then beating NSA 2-0! They were on their way to what would prove to be a very exciting championship game on Monday. Arsenal faced Galaxy in the final. At the final the score was 0-0 taking them into 2 overtimes and eventually a shootout. Unfortunately, the girls were defeated in the shootout, but played liked champions and had a lot to be proud of!! Awesome job Arsenal!!!
