Game #7 - KOP White
The U10 Wolfpack played host this Sunday to the King of Prussia White and, like in a great book, the ending was fantastic! The Pack, which has consistently relied on its defensive strength to keep the opposition in check, changed their tactics and went on the offensive and maintained constant pressure on the KOP’s back third and keeper all game. The first half saw the Pack control possession and pace led by Annie Cavalier and Natalie Peirson at forward and Bri McKeowan, Maddie Macdonald, Lauren O’Neill and Jennifer Bruecks at midfield. The first half ended without a score from either squad and a clean sheet recorded in goal by Ally Osiecki and Cassidy Tower who were only tested with one KOP shot on goal. The second half began with KOP trying to sway momentum but were seldom able to penetrate the Pack’s midfield line and when they did, they were met by the “mother wolf” defending her “cubs” and turned away quickly. As the game was coming to a close and the Pack’s second half keeper tandem of Allison Rampata and Lindsey Tretowicz were happy to keep the sheet clean, one last offensive strike was mounted and left forward Paige Morgan took a cross to her wing and got off a quick shot to put the Pack on the board with less than two minutes left in the match! The Pack controlled possession and the final whistle blew to record the 5th win for the young Pack this season. The team will conclude their innagural season this weekend by traveling to Lansdowne on Saturday and then hosting Harleysville on Sunday.
