A ST. MARTHA PARISH EVENT
All parishioners invited
This year, instead of the traditional 4 day Vacation Church School, we have decided to join together with the entire parish and offer a one evening event for all parish families. This will give all of our parents a chance to participate with their children and all of our other families… teens, young adults, married, singles, seniors, empty nesters – an opportunity to come together to celebrate with the entire community.
PRAY- We will begin right after the 4:00 Mass by gathering on the football field. We will have rocking chairs under the
shelter area and a Rosary path set up on the perimeter of the fence. Those who want to walk or run will follow the path and those who cannot do that are invited to sit and rock while we have someone leading us on the loud speaker through one of the mysteries of the rosary. We will all be praying together but moving differently.
EAT – After the Rosary we will all move to Bethany Center for a meal together. This will be very simple and provided by a group in the parish. If you have not paid up front through a registration, you may pay at this time to help cover the meal and craft costs. $10 per family or $5 per individual
PLAY – After the meal the crowd will be divided into two groups. One group will go to the craft station that is set up
and make a stepping stone for your family garden. The other group will go to the field and participate in field game
activities. If you can’t participate in the events, you can be the cheerleaders for those who are joining in. After the allotted time these groups will switch and go to craft or field event. At the end of the evening we will gather for a closing prayer, blessing and song.
Other ideas are being discussed, so be ready for anything.
Please fill out the registration form in the back of the Bulletin and turn it in the collection basket or drop it
off at the parish office to reserve your space.
Jr. High and High School students may also register to help out with the evening. Fill out a registration
form and return it to Mrs. Morgan at the parish office
