I have gotten a couple of text messages today asking if the games have been rained out. As of right now (3:51 PM), the games are still on.

The City of Chandler Sports Weather phone number is 480-782-2715. Push #6 and you will get an automated message. The message is updated after 3PM on game day with information on whether the games are to be played or not.

Hi All – In order to keep an accurate track of our record on this site, I have to set up two events each week. Then you will get e-mails asking about whether you are attending the early game and the late game each week. It seems like a waste. I am going to continue to just have 1 event each week for you guys to say Attending or Not Attending.

Hi All,

This season we have a 14 man roster, no new bats, and no new jersies. Given that, the only league expense was the $409 entry fee.

Each player owes me $25 to cover league fees for this season.

This would have been $29 per person but I used some of the Sidelines sponsorship to trim it down to $25. Also, the sponsorship will cover the first $36 of the Sidelines tab each week, starting with our first games on August 12.

Please bring a check made out to Barret Hartman or cash to the game tomorrow night.

Please wear your Slump Busters shirt to the games tomorrow night.

Hi All,

This morning I got us registered for the August thru October softball league. We are in the same D#2 league as last season. Games begin on August 12 and last game is October 14.

I got a lot of e-mails yesterday about Matt Barker leaving the team. I didn’t realize you guys liked him that much! Going into yesterday, he was the only person that had not committed to playing again this season. I got ahold of Matt and he says he is going to come back to play now, so no worries… This team will still have more Wildcats than Sun Devils. Sadly, we did lose Clinton for this season. He is doing an evening grad school program and his classes fell on the same night as softball. Eric Moore has also indicated he will miss a few weeks in the season because of work, so I will count him as a 1/2 team member for now. That puts our team roster at 13.5 people.

I will work out the details on league fees and let you know when it is resolved. I still need to talk to Sidelines again about sponsorship, so I do not have those details yet.

TEAM QUESTIONS

• Do you want new shirts for this season, if it means additional fees? Some kind of dry-fit/cool shirt?

• Do you want a new team bat for this season, if it means additional fees?
