Hello Everyone,
I would like to ask that all correspondence done through this Club Site be related to Swim Club issues only.
I can appreciate that families are fundraising for various events, and are looking for supporters, but this is not the medium to be doing that. I`m sure people do not appreciate being inundated with emails not related to the Club.
Thank you for your anticipated cooperation dealing with this matter.
Swimmingly,
Russ Der

We have had keen interest in the diving program and think we have enough responses to go ahead.
There is still room though, so if you have any interest getting ready to dive at provincials please contact Lynn at lynntissington@shaw.ca.
Divers will train Tuesdays and Sundays 6-7 pm at the NAC.
Happy flipping!

Thanks to all of the swimmers who came out last Sunday and showed their enthusiasm for diving. It was the second of our introductory diving sessions and I think Paul, the coach, was really pleased with the budding talent that he saw. He is very excited and hopeful that we can make the diving program through White Rapids a reality.
Our next step is to find out if we have enough interest from our membership to run the program. What we are looking for is a minimum of eight athletes who can commit to attending twice per week, in order to prepare for competition at Provincials, which we all know is going to be held here in August.
Paul is very keen and would like to train more, but knows that the divers can only have 2 hours of coached diving per week until May, at which time he would like to look at increasing diving time. This will, of course be dependent on interest, but Paul is pretty clear that even with twice per week, this is very minimal training to begin competing in August.
As the time is very short, we would like to get the program up and running as soon as humanly possible. So, we are asking that people advise us ASAP of their interest.
I have been given some possible times for practices and list them below. If you are interested, please let me know which times will work for you and we will do our best to accommodate the majority of people.
Saturdays – 9- 10 am (Beban) or (5-6 pm (NAC)
Sundays 9- 10 am (Beban) or (5-6 pm (NAC)
Fridays –7pm (Beban)
Tuesdays 7-8 (NAC) – starting in March
If you have questions please contact Lynn Tissington at lynntissington@shaw.ca
Thanks

Last Friday there were approximately 30 people who showed up for diving. The majority of them were Div 1-3. We would like to see more Div 4 and up swimmers come out.
There will be a second session on Sunday January 29, at 4:00 pm at the NAC, during Public Swim. Everyone will have to pay the general admission fee.
This is the last trial session, so if you were unable to make it on Friday, please try and make it.
If you are interested in diving, and are unable to make it to this session, please contact Lynn Tissington at lynntissington@shaw.ca
Thanks,
