Another great game this past Saturday. We are rolling along and Coach Colin and I are really proud of the boys.
Per the schedule it does not look like we have a game this weekend, but it’s a little strange because there is no "bye" next to our name and we have already had a "Bye." I have an e-mail in to the commissioners and the scheduler just to make sure. Right now we’ll assume we won’t play, but please stand by for confirmation on that.
Either way, we will have a practice today, same place, same time.

A few quick things…
1. We have a game tonight, Monday, 5/10, at 6:00 at Marine Central. Please be there by 5:45.
2. For tonight’s game, and all upcoming games, PLEASE try to let me know if a player is not going to be there. Before each game I take some time to create a lineup in order to give everyone a chance to play several positions. If one of our players that we expect to be there doesn’t show up we have to scramble during the game to re-do that lineup.
3. I thought we had one of our best games this past Saturday. Coach Colin & I were so proud of the kids for making the right plays in the field and really hitting the ball well. I think we found our ace starting pitcher in Gary, although we will continue to rotate the pitching.

Game today at Begg North (our practice field) at 1:30. Please have the boys at the field at 1:00.
We are the home team so we have to get the field ready. If you can help out just let me or Coach Colin know when you get there.
Thomas will not be there and I’m assumng Revant is still out. If anyone else can’t make it please let me know.

There will be a Memorial Day Tournament. Here is the e-mail I received…
Let your managers/families know that MLL will hold a Memorial Weekend Tournament again this year. Here is some information on the MWT:
Each team will play 2-3 total games on Friday (maybe), Saturday and Sunday. No games on Monday.
The Fee is $20 per player
T-Shirt uniforms are provided. Players use their regular season team hat
MLL provides umpires and balls
Game are played at MB fields
We need volunteers for manager/coaches.
We will have several levels of play: 2nd year Cal players (first opportunity at kid-pitch), Coast, 10U, 11U and 12U. Depending on numbers, we may combines some of those.
Please note that all skill levels are free to play in the MWT Coast tourney. The tournament is a lot of fun for the boys. The managers should let their families know and we will ask for a list of players in a couple weeks.

As you can see, it’s mainly for the older kids in our league- the 2nd year Cal kids.
If anyone wants to play, I do need to know by today. Sorry for the short notice.
Next game is on Saturday at Begg North at 1:30.
