Jr. High Homeschool team Denver Eagles win division 'A' basketball championship

The Denver Eagles took it all in the "A" division this weekend at the end of season Metro (Jr. High) tournament hosted by Beth Eden Baptist. Teams participating in this year’s tournament: Denver Eagles, Beth Eden Baptist, Hyland Christian, Belleview Christian, Faith Baptist, Titans Homeschool, Love Christian, Darren Patterson Christian and Front Range Baptist.
Undefeated in regular season play, the Eagles lost their first game in the double elimination tournament Friday night. After their defeat, the team played and won 4 games Saturday to make it to the Championship game Saturday night against Front Range Baptist. The Eagles won the game 63 to 48.
The Eagles "B" team also played in the tournament taking second place in their division. Love Christian Fellowship won the boys "B" team championship. At a separate location, the Denver Eagles Jr. High girls scored yet another Eagle’s victory as they won their championship game. The Denver Eagles is a Christian sports organization for Denver-Metro area homeschoolers. The Eagles play a variety of sports which include Volleyball, Basketball, Baseball and Soccer for both girls and boys in Jr. High through High School.
