Congratulations to the NH Junior Legion State Champions. Crowned on Wednesday, July 27, 2011. A job well done and well deserved to a group of young men that worked tirelessly all year long.
There is a bat change for Legion in 2011
A couple of chairmen have called in asking about the 2011 bat rule. As many of your are aware, the NCAA has adopted a new standard for non-wood bats for 2011 call BBCOR. The National HS Federation will adopted that new standard in 2012. BESR stamped bats (with exception of composite bats) are permitted for use in Legion baseball this summer. The NCAA had banned composite bats. The National HS Federation also banned composite bats, however the NHSF is granting a waiver for some composite bats for 2011. Below is the bat rule that is to be used by American Legion teams for the 2011 season. The 2011 rulebook is at the printer. We anticipate shipping the books by February 15th.
