Coach Rut's Take

Posted by John Chambers on Sep 20 2009 at 05:00PM PDT
It's fall, so it must be baseball season.  I am enjoying seeing you all on the field again as we build toward a great 2010.

On the high school level this year, we will likely have both our youngest and best team ever.  That tells you something.  The future around here is very bright.

As we have been discussing during Fall Training, we have emphasized two things -- a practical mental game approach and developing athleticism.  These two components have really become "force-multipliers" for us.  Why?  Well, they are neglected often in baseball, and at all levels.  A mentally-tough, athletic team will always have a chance to compete.

Of course, at the foundation of all that we do is the character of our players.  Character is the fuel of the deliberate practice needed to get us to where we want to go.  And where do we want to go?  We seek to be excellent on the field, off the field, everywhere.  I Cor. 10:31.

If you are homeschooled and want more information about our program or you know a great young man looking to play baseball on a great team ... and in an outstanding environment where he can grow and develop his talents to the maximum, give me a call at 281-413-5418 or email me:  rickrutline@gmail.com

See you on the field,

Coach Rut
